The NRV (Brass) - 1/2" is a Non-Return Valve (also called a Check Valve) used in steam and water lines of Star Fish SSMAX series boilers and compatible laundry presses. This simple mechanical valve, made from brass, allows fluid (steam or water) to flow in one direction only and automatically closes to prevent backflow, protecting equipment and ensuring system safety and efficiency.
• One-Way Flow Control: The core function is to permit flow in the desired direction and automatically block any reverse flow (backflow).
• Prevents Backflow & Contamination: Installed in steam or water lines to prevent hot condensate or contaminated water from flowing back into the boiler or clean supply line.
• Durable Brass Construction: The brass body offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability for steam and hot water applications.
• Reliable Mechanical Operation: Uses a spring-loaded poppet or swing mechanism that opens with forward pressure and seals shut if flow tries to reverse.
• Standard Threaded Connection: Features 1/2" threaded ports for easy installation into pipeline.
• Boiler Feed Water Line: Prevents backflow from the boiler into the fresh water supply line.
